One of MOSAIC’s strategic priorities is to provide technical assistance to global, national, and subnational stakeholders to expedite product launch and scale-up; and strengthen the capacity of a wide range of local partners to perform essential functions that supports the introduction of HIV biomedical prevention products. This entails supporting the Government of Nigeria (GoN) through the Federal Ministry of Health to set National and States targets for PrEP commodities, review National guidelines to include the new HIV-prevention products (including CAB PrEP and Dapivirine Vaginal Ring) and support NASCP/NACA to include new PrEP products into other health services like the PrEP-Family Planning integration plan with the Department of Family Health.

In less than one year of implementation, MOSAIC has supported the first National Training of Trainers (ToT) on oral PrEP service provision for PrEP providers (using training resource materials developed jointly with GoN and other stakeholders), the roll-out of the first National Oral PrEP Implementation plan, the request for adoption of Gen-N as the National umbrella for HIV interventions for Adolescents and Young People in Nigeria and currently reviewing the National Policies to integrate PrEP for Pregnant and Breastfeeding Population (PBF
