Recognition for promoting family-friendly initiatives in the private sector
AN ALIVE AND TRIVE SUCCESS STORY
On 29th February 2024, NECA (Nigerian Employers’ Consultative Association) and NNEW (Nigerian Network of Entrepreneurial Women) hosted an award ceremony in Lagos at the NECA House, recognizing excellence in entrepreneurship and service. The event aimed to celebrate and honor exceptional individuals and organizations who have significantly contributed to the growth of NNEW while demonstrating remarkable achievements in their respective fields.
FHI 360/A&T received an award in recognition of the support towards NNEW’s pioneering initiative of promoting family-friendly workplaces in the private sector. This pioneering effort aims to create a more inclusive and supportive environment for working families, fostering a better work-life balance and empowering employees to thrive professionally and personally. The Project Director Alive & Thrive/Acting Country Director FHI 360 Dr Victor Ogbodo, graciously accepted the award on behalf of the organization.
In addition to FHI 360/A&T, other deserving individuals and organizations were also honored at the ceremony. This included Mr. Olusegun Oshinowo, former Director General of Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association (NECA), Mrs. Adenike Ogunlesi, the pioneer NNEW President, as well as International Labour Organization (ILO), Action Aid Nigeria, and First City Monument Bank (FCMB).
