Every day was hell on earth for me as I was raped and beaten continuously, but I still had to endure it all as there was no escape. I later discovered that I was pregnant and when I was due, there was no medical help in the forest. Other older women attended to me and helped me deliver locally; it was a ‘still birth’ and a painful experience.
