Background;

The ACE Cluster 1 project is designed to optimally Fastrack the achievement of epidemic control in the Akwa Ibom and Cross River States and contribute to the USAID development objective 2 which seeks a healthier, better-educated population, and specifically Intermediate Result (IR) 2 improved health and disease outcomes of priority populations in targeted states. Family Health International (FHI 360) as the principal technical partner shall provide direct technical assistance (TA) to the Prime (AHNi) and other subgrantees (the American University of Nigeria-AUN, Eklisiyar ‘Yan uwa a Nijeria- EYN and Federation of Muslim Association of Nigeria (FOMWAN) to develop their capacities in critical organizational and technical areas using Total Quality Leadership and Accountability and modified Twining model.

The Ace1 objectives are:

  • Increasing resiliency, responsiveness, and accountability of the health system is essential to achieving long-lasting HIV epidemic control.
  • Objective 2: To improve the quality of HIV/AIDS and TB services by achieving 95-95-95 targets and HIV epidemic control which requires improving quality of care (QOC).
  • To increase access and availability of HIV/AIDS and TB prevention and treatment services within primary care interventions.
