The IHAP+ team held a focus group discussion with beneficiaries residing at Kamcheji IDP camp regarding the impact of IHAP+ WASH interventions on their behaviors.  During this session, community members appreciated IHAP+ and the donors, NNPC\/SNEPCO for the life-changing humanitarian assistance they have received in terms of hygiene practices and WASH.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Kaka Andi Abdullahi <\/strong>of Kamcheji Camp said \u201cI have learnt a lot from the messages I heard from the IHAP+ Project and that\u2019s why my environment is clean. I always tell my grandchildren to use the toilet because it is the best way to dispose of faeces and to prevent open defecation because of diseases like cholera and diarrhea.”<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Fatima Modu <\/em><\/strong>of  <\/em>Kamcheji camp was asked why she sweeps and cleans her environment and she joyfully said \u201c<\/span>my name is Fatima Modu, I am 10 years old. I always clean our house because I don\u2019t like seeing dirt around, this is because of the messages I hear on the importance of cleanliness and the fear of diseases caused by dirty environment.<\/em>\u201d<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Dalaram Bukar<\/em><\/strong> of Kamcheji camp says \u201cI want to sincerely express my appreciation to NNPC\/SNEPCo for all their messages on hygiene practice which has helped me. Messages like \u201cdo not touch clean, safe water with dirty hands or cups<\/strong>\u201d and \u201cwe should keep the water safe and free from germ<\/strong>\u201d.
