<\/em>is a global campaign aimed at raising awareness and taking action to eliminate violence against women and girls. This year, FHI 360 made significant strides in this mission by leading impactful activities across Taraba and Borno States, Nigeria.<\/p><p>In Taraba State, FHI 360, with funding from the Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (BPRM) engaged communities through a series of well-coordinated events aimed at empowering individuals, challenging harmful norms, and fostering collective action against GBV. Activities spanned multiple locations, including Jalingo, Bali, Takum, Ussa and Sardauna LGAs, and featured:<\/p><ul><li><strong>Community Dialogues:<\/strong> Local leaders, women\u2019s groups, and youth advocates came together for candid discussions on the root causes of gender-based violence. These conversations emphasized cultural change, accountability, and the role of community-driven solutions.<\/li><li><strong>Awareness Campaigns:<\/strong> Vibrant marches took to the streets with participants holding banners and placards displaying bold messages like <em>\u201cSay No to Violence\u201d<\/em> and <em>\u201cEnd Child Marriage Now.\u201d<\/em> These rallies ignited conversations and spread hope for a violence-free future.<\/li><li><strong>Empowerment Sessions:<\/strong> Women and girls were equipped with skills training and resources, promoting economic independence and resilience.
