\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tTo wrap the project aimed at providing Integrated Nutrition and Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) assistance to individuals affected by conflict in Banki, FHI 360 organized an After-Action Review with team members on January 15, 2024.\nWith support from the Nigeria Humanitarian Fund (NHF), FHI 360 successfully delivered integrated nutrition and Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) services to 92,205 individuals affected by conflict in the Banki Local Government Area (LGA) of Borno State. The project targeted various groups, including children under 5 years facing severe acute malnutrition, women\/caregivers of children aged 0-23 months, women, girls, and community members with WASH needs.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The implemented interventions yielded positive outcomes, leading to the enhancement of the nutritional status of children and a reduction in the risk of excess mortality and morbidity among boys and girls under five years old with severe acute malnutrition (SAM) and medical complications in the Stabilization Centers (SC). Additionally, the project achieved an improvement in water supply coverage, raising it from 9.2 litres per person per day to meet the sector standard of 15 litres per person per day.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Furthermore, efforts were made to ensure that SAM patients and their caregivers had safe and dignified access to open defecation-free spaces, both within the stabilization centers and in their communities. This integrated approach aimed to address the urgent nutritional and WASH needs of the conflict-affected population in Banki LGA.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
